COVID-19 Updates from Hilltop Senior Living Communities

As the entire nation continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic we are grateful for our resident’s and families’ understanding and cooperation during this challenging and stressful time. We are also grateful for the tireless efforts of our staff members in their care and protection of our residents. Because of everyone’s efforts and vigilance, our communities have remained COVID-free! We appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to follow all state and federal protocols for the safety of our residents and staff members.

Current Protocols In Our Communities

Following is a list of current protocols enacted to protect our residents. Please also refer to our published updates for more detailed information. We are currently accepting new admissions to our communities. Please contact a sales representative for more information or to request a “virtual” tour.

  • We have limited access to all but essential visitors (care givers and vendors).
  • We screen everyone entering the building for symptoms.
  • COVID-19 tests are available for residents with results provided in approximately four days.

  • We provide frequent cleaning and sanitizing in our buildings.
  • We have closed our dining rooms and residents now receive their meals in their rooms to meet social distancing guidelines.
  • We continue taking daily temperatures of our residents to help us respond quickly to changes in their condition and we monitor for changes regularly.
  • We strongly discourage residents from leaving the building for anything that isn’t absolutely essential (medical visits are the exception).
  • All staff members and essential visitors wear masks at all times. Residents have also been provided masks and encouraged to wear them anytime they are outside their rooms.
  • Staff and residents practice vigorous hand washing and maintain social distancing.
  • While family and friends are not allowed to visit residents per an order of the state of Colorado Department of Health, we encourage you to call your loved one on the phone, face-time via smart phone/computer as often as you would like. We have also set up a way for you to visit from the other side of a window pane on our first floor via phone.

COVID Vaccines Are Coming Soon

I have heard from many of you recently asking about the new COVID vaccines. I am happy to share we expect to have vaccines available for our Commons and Fountains residents in January! I know this is welcome news for many of us, and we will be sharing more specific information in the next few weeks.

What we do know now is that the vaccines will be administered by CVS Pharmacy in our communities. Residents, or their designated family members, will need to sign a consent form prior to receiving their vaccine. We will share the consent forms and actual dates for the vaccines as soon as they are available.

The vaccines will only be offered on set dates and times, so it is important that you are prepared. If you have questions or concerns regarding the COVID vaccines, the following websites offer up-to-date information:

I feel grateful to be able share this positive news, and the sincere hope that this signals a light at the end of the tunnel. Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns.
